( by now wei wuxian has grown quite accustomed to wen ning's newfound sturdiness, so while he winces faintly at the throw, he doesn't risk sparing the landing a glance. instead, he bloodies a second finger and fires off one talisman and then another and another in an attempt to do as ning was trying to do and herd it back out the door, each one colliding with the creature and bursting into flame. but while the talismans are enough to have stopped it from encroaching any further at the moment (at least as long as he keeps them coming), they're also not pushing the beast back any.
at the very least, he starts to make his way around the creature in the opposite direction from the one where it tossed wen ning. if one of them can make it to the door and then make a fuss, they can probably lure the thing outside rather than trying to push it. )
