When Matthew first wakes up in the overly-hygienic, sunlit, perfectly respectable hospital room--he starts to panic and silently freak out. His last memory as a living man were in a hospital room not unlike this one, and he immediately is seized with fear that somewhere his memory and his mind have fractured so badly that he's really just waking up from his coma.
Luckily, he begins to thrash around in the bed so hard that a few feathers go flying and eventually he rolls himself off to land on the floor with the soft *thud* of a small body with hollow bones.
Still a bird then. Good. Maybe. So where is he now, and how in the hell did he get here? This doesn't feel like part of the Dreaming, not exactly, so now what?
Quoth the Raven, "What the fuck?"
Option 1: If there's someone else in the room, maybe you're the one going crazy because that sure is a talking raven. Talk to him and try to convince yourself you're not crazy, or maybe consult the charts for info.
Option 2: He goes flying through the hallways on an investigation of the floor. Landing on various counters or pieces of furniture... does that bird look like he's trying to read the signs? Or trying to hit the elevator button?
OUTSIDE ►
Escape! Finally! But the cold weather and the wind is no match for a 4lb. raven, and Matthew quickly finds himself pushed back towards the exterior walls of the hospital. It's a lot of work to stay aloft, and when the wind does die down, he plops miserably into the snow. This is no amount of fun, and unless he can figure out which 3rd floor window he'd flown out of, he's not sure how to get out of this mess.
